Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To compare quotes, you only need to answer six questions: gender, your date of birth, general health status, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you want, and the policy term length. These answers are sufficient for the carriers to return their quoted rates. Personal identifying information like your name, address, and detailed health records are collected only if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The amounts displayed are the monthly premiums each carrier quotes based on the health classification you selected. Your actual premium is determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which happens after you apply and may result in a different health class—better, worse, or the same as what you chose. This site provides quotes only and makes no guarantee about final pricing or coverage terms.

What happens when I click Apply?

Clicking Apply means you enter your name and authorize an application to be created using the specific quote and term you selected. The application then continues on the carrier's own secure platform, where you can pause and return later to finish. All signing is done electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages the application on your behalf.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on which carrier you choose, the amount of coverage, and your health answers. Several carriers on this site offer Immediate decision options, meaning they can approve eligible applicants without a medical exam. Each quote clearly indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed for that particular offer.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should match the period when someone depending on your income would face financial hardship if you died: a home mortgage, dependent children, a business loan, or other obligations. Longer terms lock in a lower monthly rate for a greater number of years, but at a higher total cost. The comparison tool lets you see 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side so you can decide what fits your situation.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not ask for or store contact information, we do not sell or share visitor data with third parties, and our tracking is cookieless—no persistent identifiers across sessions. Visit the privacy page for the complete accounting of what data is collected and who collects it.
